The "Tonneau" has a large, distinctive case with a plain bezel and case. While readily available today in white gold fill, it is quite rare in yellow and green. Only around 5000 watches were made in green gold fill and this is the first example I have decided to sell in my time as a collector. This example is in crisp, excellent condition with no brassing. Caseback is excellent and unengraved, with some faint scratches. Case measures 34mm long and 27mm wide however it wears much larger. Original dial is excellent, hands have been relumed. Has new glass crystal. The watch is powered by its correct 17-jewel Hamilton grade 987-F manual wind movement which is running strong. This features a very rare, comfortable and expensive later period hamilton alligator band and period buckle. Comes with original box
