I’m Bennett. I started OnlyHamilton in 2024. My love for Hamilton is fueled by the quality of the watches the Hamilton Watch Company made. Hamiltons were—and still are—the best wristwatches made in America.

Why do I love Hamilton?
Personally, it was the design of the watch cases—and of course, the excellent movements, especially the 979 and 401. Hamilton mostly made all their watches with gold-filled bezels and backs, instead of the more common gold-filled bezel and steel back used by some other brands. That means higher quality and, naturally, more expense.

Unlike some collectors, I don’t own every Hamilton ever made or all the super-rare variations. My pursuit of rarer and more beautiful Hamiltons is ongoing. I’m privileged to own some very rare pieces, like a pair of 14K Meadowbrooks, both a “normal” Special Model A and a Tiffany & Co. Special Model A (of which only two are known to exist, including mine), and—my personal favorite—a pair of Plain Ovals in Green and White.

If I could have any Hamilton, it would be an early platinum model, like the Oval, Meadowbrook, or Rectangular.

The joy I get from bringing a Hamilton from not running, beat-up, and just plain old dirty, to a beautiful, clean, and running timepiece is indescribable. I love being able to keep these watches running and ready to wear for as long as they can.

Looking past the beauty of the movements, the elegant cases, and the quality dials, Hamilton was the American timekeeper. At the most basic level, they made the highest-quality wristwatch movements and used the most advanced, careful techniques to make everything in-house.
