Here is an excellent example of one of Hamilton Watch Company's earliest models called the Tonneau which features a 14K white gold case with an engraved case and an original sterling silver luminous dial with luminous skeleton hands. The dial and hands exhibit a beautiful darker orange/red patina. This is a beautiful wristwatch that is powered by a 6/0 size grade 987F manual hand winding movement with 17 jewels that has been serviced and kept good time over a 24 hour period. A classic model for any Hamilton collection. I find the engraving, “ESB - Yale ‘29” to be very cool and a nice addition the provenance of the watch. The box and Vintage Hamilton pigskin band also complete the package of this watch. Only 1235 were ever made, this is the real deal for a deco hamilton.
